Taco:
Taco is our first rescue! He is a three year old Chihuahua with a grade 4 heart murmur. He also has a broken femur socket joint and his pelvis is broken in 2 places. This doesn't keep Taco down, however! He loves to be carried, and loves food! Taco is not up for foster or adoption at this time. Taco is now going to University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital for surgery to close a shunt in his heart that is damaging the pulmonary valves in his heart. It is called a PDA and can only be repaired with surgery. Once repaired he could live another 10-15 years. We will keep you posted! If anyone wants to donate to Tacos surgery please click our donations page and follow the link to Tacos Go Fund Me page!

UPDATE!!! Taco is doing well and should be up for adoption/foster shortly! He loves cats and Chihuahuas so would be perfect in a home with them!
UPDATE!!! Taco has found the perfect home and is no longer up for adoption or foster.
This is Juanita! Our sweet Juanita was taken into Chicago Animal Control with an eye injury that had to be removed. Juanita is a 4 year old Shih Tzu mix with awesome personality! She loves cuddles and laps and all the attention she can get!
UPDATE!!!
Juanita has fully recovered and found her forever home in Indiana!
This is Flubber! He was shocked when he discovered that we found him a home as you can tell from the funny look on his face! Flubber is a fan tailed goldfish that was part of a school project and needed a good home afterward. He was dewormed for parasites and loves to eat!!!
UPDATE!!!
Flubber found a new home with a family of fish in a large tank in a good home!
This is Nyxie a nine year old blind cat with a large growth under her jaw. She now has her ear on an angle from the surgery. Unfortunately the tumor was a rare and very bad cancer that limits her chance of living a lot longer, so we felt it best to place her in a foster home right away.
UPDATE!!!
Nyxie is doing well in her foster home!
This is Saphira, a poor kitty with a sad story. Saphira is a beautiful, sweet 12 year old kitty with a horrible ear infection that has left her ears swollen and infected. She also has some kidney issues and possible cancer. She also has a growth in her ear as well. We are working with a cat rescue to get her the help she needs and as of now she is going to a foster home with a crazy cat lady! Saphira will get plenty love for sure!
This is cute little Emma! She was an awesome kitty we performed bladder stone surgery on and then placed in a kitty rescue. She was fostered for a while and has been doing very well!!
